Senior Market Officer (1 Position)

Reporting to Business Development Manager

Job Purpose

• Supervise weighbridge operations of sales team and handles billing/invoicing the coal customers at weighbridge.

Sales:

• Assist Business Development Manager in following up and generation of the sales leads;
• Ensure sales orders are handled with at most priority, by creating sales order in the SAP system;
• Verify loading orders from transporters sending quotations, placing orders, forwarding proof of payments, interacting with customers on loading of trucks, communicate with customers and internal teams on delays in loading, assisting customers with balance reconciliations.
• Assist the Business Development Manager in providing a professional and excellent level of customer service with existing and new customers.
• Liaising with mining department on quality & supply issues, and with finance department on accounting issues, proof of payments, etc.
• Ability to undertake marketing intelligence, data building & analysis.

Truck Management:

• Maintain empty truck register;
• Advise security of trucks approved orders for loading;
• Check and supervise the weighing operation;
• Verify loading orders from transporters and supervise the weighing operation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Grade 12 or equivalent
2. Degree, Diploma, in Sales & Marketing
3. At least Five (5) years’ experience in sales and marketing
4. Registered Member of Zambia Institute Of Marketers
