Position: Truck Driver
Number of positions: 1
Location: Partly in Kasempa and partly in Lusaka, Zambia
Reports to: General Manager

About the role

Our client needs a reliable, experienced Truck Driver to safely transport goods and support operations across designated routes in Zambia.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
• Plan routes and follow schedules to ensure timely deliveries or pickups
• Load, unload, and verify delivery items as required
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper functioning; carry out regular inspections
• Report vehicle issues, accidents, or delays immediately to the supervisor
• Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented with proper receipts and records
• Comply with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Maintain a professional demeanour at all times
• Assist with other duties as required by management
• Maintain discretion regarding confidential company matters

Qualifications and skills

• Valid Truck driver’s licence (appropriate class for truck driving)
• Proven experience as a professional Truck Driver (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
• Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and GPS systems
• Good communication skills (including fluent spoken English) and time management
• Minimum Grade 12 certificate
• Smart presentation and polite manner
• Mechanical knowledge an added advantage
• Ability to lift and move packages when required
• Punctual, dependable, and safety-oriented
