Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resource Associate to lead our HR department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for engagement with various customers, developing and implementing HR policies, managing recruitment, overseeing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

1-Strategic HR:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies: Align HR practices with the overall business objectives and ensure they contribute to organizational success.
  • Engage with customers on outsourced labor: Act as a point of contact for clients regarding outsourced labor issues, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any concerns. 

2-Recruitment and Employee Relations:

  • Oversee recruitment and selection: Manage the entire hiring process, from job postings to candidate selection, ensuring the company attracts and hires the best talent.
  • Manage employee relations: Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage performance appraisals and training programs: Conduct regular performance reviews, identify development needs, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Handle disciplinary procedures: Implement fair and consistent disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. 

3-Compliance and Operations:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies: Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and ensure all HR practices are compliant, minimizing legal risks.
  • Process payroll and submit NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE, and Workers' Compensation: Accurately and timely process payroll, and ensure all required deductions and submissions are made. 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management.
  • Strong knowledge of Zambian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Registered with Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM)
  • Must have a driver’s license
